Lyndell Kelly moved to Dunedin in 2005 after working for 22 years as an Oncologist at Royal Brisbane Hospital, with a PhD in Pathology done part-time over 9 years. There followed 16 years at Dunedin Hospital specializing in the treatment of Brain tumours and Head and Neck Cancers. In 2019 she was elected to the Southern District Health Board where she has advocated strongly for service improvements. She has now retired from clinical work and is enjoying activities previously curtailed such as cooking and reading. She still tries to be useful to the community and involvement with the Trust is a great avenue for that.
