Paul is the Chair of The Healthcare Otago Charitable Trust. He joined the Trust in 2007 and was appointed Chair in 2013. He brings extensive governance experience to the role and has been awarded fellowships by both the Institute of Directors and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

After growing up in Dunback and attending East Otago High School, Paul went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago. He is a Senior Partner at Findex and, with a long career providing business advice, holds a variety of commercial board appointments.

Paul’s community involvement includes serving as a Director on the Board of Dunstan Hospital, Chair of Warbirds Over Wānaka, and Trustee of the Findex Community Fund.

He has a passion for learning and is a natural teacher. Paul has been a strong advocate for the Ignite Internship Programme, which has been running since 2015. He is a guest lecturer for the University of Otago MBA programme and regularly provides governance training on behalf of community organisations and the Institute of Directors.

With his deep governance experience, leadership ability, and commitment to community development, Paul provides strong strategic direction and guidance to the Healthcare Otago Charitable Trust board.
